Coming up very soon is the Relay for Life walk event on Saturday, May 5, through Sunday, May 6, at the Buena High School Stadium. The Ventura High Key Club and the Foothill High Kiwins have established their teams and are almost ready to go. Anyone from students to community members are welcome to consider donating to or joining one of our teams in this 24-hour walk that begins at 9 a.m. Saturday and concludes at 9 a.m. Sunday. Fundraising proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society. To donate and/or participate, please register online at the Relay for Life link below. At the online event site, our sponsored clubs identify their respective teams as Key Clubs of Ventura and the FTHS KIWINS.
Kiwanis One Day at Grant Park

Our Kiwanis One Day event on April 21st was a great success. We had members of other Kiwanis Clubs as well as many of our youth service leadership program’s members present. Key Club members from Buena and Ventura High School and Foothill Kiwins were busy digging trash from the brush. K-Kids from Sheridan Way and Cabrillo Builder’s Club worked hard clearing weeds and dead brush around the Serra Cross. After filling a dumpster, several barrels, and trash bags the group enjoyed submarine sandwiches and cookies before leaving the area with a much needed face lift. The Ventura HS Key Club Officers invite interested student and community members to join them in Caroling for residents at the Venturan Convalescent Center at 4020 Loma Vista Road, on Wednesday, December 21st at 2 p.m. They are also looking for anyone willing to bring and play guitar and other instruments with the carolers.
